Our bulk THCA flower prices

However, bulk THCA flower is cheaper if bought wholesale (our wholesale prices are accessible once you’ve signed up for a wholesale account with us). Wholesale discounts are either fixed (grams cost less) or conditional (a certain amount of flower is free or discounted with a minimum order).

As a retailer, buying THCA flower wholesale from us and then reselling it offers you several benefits:

  • People want it: THCA flower is the real thing. All of the THCA is converted to THC when the flower is heated, making it just as potent as restricted cannabis flower. Many people want to buy flower for therapeutic or recreational purposes from a retailer near them, and most hemp retailers don’t carry flower (or if they do, it’s stale jarred flower that’s changed hands multiple times). By carrying THCA flower, you give your store(s) an immediate competitive advantage.
  • It’s federally legal: THCA flower is federally legal because it contains less than 0.3% THC in raw form. This means that, as long as you’re in a state that allows the sale of smokable hemp, you can buy and resell THCA flower.
  • It’s profitable: Our THCA flower is top-shelf and indoor grown, so you won’t need to discount it or run constant promotions to sell it; once your customers try it, they’ll know it’s the real deal.

What is THCA Flower?

THCA flower is dried cannabis sativa bud that’s been bred to contain high levels of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) and low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Because it contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, it’s considered hemp and is therefore federally legal.

THCa turns into THC when heated through a process known as decarboxylation: you get the same effects from high-THCa, low-THC strains as you would from strains with a lower ratio of THCa to THC.

All cannabis flower strains tend to contain high levels of THCa, but they typically also contain significant percentages of THC, making them federally illegal and therefore not as widely available.

THCa flower is bred specifically to contain more THCa and less THC. This makes it legal, but due to decarboxylation, it still creates the potent effects you’d expect from regular THC flower.

THCA vs. THC: What’s the Difference?

Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) is essentially the acidic form of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). When THCA is heated (decarboxylated), it loses its acid ring (the ‘A) and becomes THC.

In this way, THCA has very few effects in raw form, but is “activated” when heated, turning into THC and giving the signature high effect.

THCA and THC differ in three primary ways: their origin in the cannabis sativa plant, their potency, and their side effects.

  1. Origin: All THC starts as THCA. Therefore, THCA levels in young cannabis sativa plants are much higher, but as the plant grows, much more of this THCA becomes THC. By strategically breeding and harvesting the plant, growers can get high-THCA, low THC strains.
  2. Strength: Raw THCA does not create a noticeable mental effect, while THC (“activated” THCA), does create a euphoric, relaxing head high. THC is the cannabinoid primarily responsible for the well-known effects of the cannabis sativa plant.
  3. Side Effects: Not much is known about the side effects of raw THCA. HOwever, anecdotal evidence suggests THCA may cause some people to feel slightly drowsy, while causing others to feel energized. THC, on the other hand, may create side effects such as anxiety, dry mouth, memory loss, difficulty thinking and speaking, red eyes, delayed reaction time, heart rate increases, and increased appetite.

What Are The Benefits of THCA Flower?

When THCA flower is heated, the THCA in it turns into delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (also known as delta 9 or simply THC), a cannabinoid with a variety of potential therapeutic benefits:

  • Stress & Anxiety: Research on THC for anxiety shows that it may be beneficial for some people, but not beneficial for others. THC tends to be most effective for this use in smaller doses.
  • Pain & Inflammation: Research suggests THC may have physically soothing, comfort-promoting properties.
  • Sleep: Research suggests THC may promote restful sleep through its euphoric, relaxing effects. THC products made with indica strains may be particularly beneficial for this use.
  • Appetite: Research suggests THC may have appetite-stimulating properties.
  • Nausea: Research has found that THC may have antiemetic (anti-nausea) properties.

However, it’s important to note that, while research suggests THCA flower has therapeutic potential, it’s not a treatment or cure for any condition and more studies are needed to confirm these benefits.

How Do You Use THCA Flower?

THCA flower can be used just like regular THC flower. Here are some of the most popular ways to consume it:

  • Smoking: The easiest and more common way to use THCA flower is to grind it up and roll it into a joint. When you light the joint, the THCA flower will convert to THC, giving you those signature effects.
  • Vaping: If you don’t want to smoke, you can use a dry herb vape to inhale your THCA flower. These devices heat the flower to its activation temperature without creating any of the harmful byproducts of combustion.
  • Baking: If you’d prefer to consume your THCA flower in an edible form, you can bake with it by converting it into a THC-rich butter, then using this butter in baked goods. This can be done by boiling the THC flower with water and butter (to decarboxylate the THCA), straining out the flower pieces, then cooling the mixture in the freezer (which allows the butter to solidify at the top).

Is THCA Flower Legal?

Yes, THCA flower is federally legal in the US, although it’s restricted in certain states.

In its raw form, THCA flower contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, which means it’s considered hemp under US law, which is federally legal as of the 2018 Farm Bill.

How to Verify The Quality of Bulk THCA Flower

If you’re shopping online for bulk THCA flower for your store, there are a few main things you’ll want to do to ensure you’re getting a high-quality product:

Source from reputable companies

Only purchase flower that’s been grown by licensed and regulated producers (all of our flower qualifies!). This will ensure your compliance with legal (THC limits) and quality standards.

Additionally, only buy lab-tested products with certificates of analysis (COAs) that verify their THCA content, THC levels (to confirm it’s less than 0.3%), and absence of contaminants like pesticides, mold, or heavy metals.

Inspect the flower’s appearance

High-quality THCA flower will be vibrant and coated with visible trichomes, which indicate cannabinoid and terpene richness – both things that add to the experience your flower provides.

Additionally, if you’re inspecting flower in-person, the buds should be well-formed, sticky to the touch, and not overly dry or brittle.

Evaluate the aroma

High-quality THCA flower should have a robust, fresh aroma that reflects the strain’s terpene profile.

A lack of smell or a musty scent may be indicative of old or poorly stored flower.

Inspect the packaging

Make sure the THCA flower you’re buying is stored in containers that are airtight and light-resistant to preserve potency and freshness.

Additionally, the packaging should clearly display strain information, THCA and THC percentages, harvest date, and the producer’s details.

Read customer reviews

Last but certainly not least, read reviews from other people and companies that have purchased the THCA flower you’re looking at: if the reviews are mostly positive, the product is likely high-quality – and vice versa.

Bulk THCA Flower FAQs

How much does a pound of THCA flower cost?

THCA flower typically costs between $500 and $1,800 per pound. The price can vary widely depending on a variety of factors, such as whether the flower is indoor- or outdoor-grown, its THCA potency, and more.

Which THCA flower is the strongest?

THCA flower with high THCA levels (commonly known as type 1 THCA flower) will be the strongest, as the THCA will convert to THC when heated, resulting in a euphoric, relaxing high effect.

What is the best THCA vendor?

Carolina Hemp Cafe cultivates top-shelf indoor THCA flower that’s 100% natural and 3rd-party lab tested. We sell both to enthusiasts (like ourselves) and retailers, with wholesale prices available for the latter. Our THCA flower selection includes legendary strains like Blue Dream, Green Crack, and Ice Cream Cake.

Is it legal to sell THCA flower?

Yes, it is legal to sell THCA flower in most states because THCA flower is a hemp product, containing less than 0.3% THC in raw form. This makes it federally legal, and most states allow the sale (but not the production) of smokable hemp.
